An annotated template provides a particular record definition (in most cases derived from an existing database) that you can import into your database. Each template includes a detailed description of the record type and its field types, to better enable you to choose the most approach record definitions.
This will save you time in building your database by leveraging off the work already done for other databases. You can import more than one template as required.
You can review the templates via the Heurist Network site:

Note. This feature is functional but in Beta development and will be expanded over the course of 2015.
To Import an Annotated Record Definition
This presents the selected template page, with additional details about the record type and its fields.
Note. You will be warned if the record type already exists in your database (even if it may have been renamed). In which case you can close the screen without reimporting the record type.
The new record structure is now available in your database.
