The Annotations transform allows you to apply 'annotations' to any Document record that contains a TEI-formatted (XML) document. You apply an 'annotation' by highlighting the text in the document and selecting the appropriate annotation tool. This in turn opens an Annotation record for completion. This Annotation-type record is thereafter linked to the highlighted text in the document.

The Annotations transform provides a range of 'tools'. Tools provide additional functionality to a transform.
