Description
Letter to University Registrar (dated 4 December 1916) from parent explains that F A Kingston had suffered from a Hammer Toe which had to be removed before he could be eligible for war service. He developed sepsis as a result of the surgery but after 3 months he recovered and enlisted as a Sapper with the Signals School at Mitcham.
