Short description
After enlistment, J.C. Mayo was posted to the Sea Transport Service. After arriving in Cairo in 1916 he was posted to 2AGH and went to France. Later in 1916 e was detached to 2 Field Ambulance.
He was promoted to Major in 1917 and then appointed Senior Medical Officer of No. 1 Command Depot at Parkhouse, England.
