After returning from World War I service, S E Holder lived at Kadina, South Australia. He became a Town Councillor, Medical Health Officer for the Kadina Corporation and HMO for the Wallaroo Hospital. He was also a Member of the Repatriation Commission. During World War II he served as a Major at 54 Camp Hospital at Loveday, South Australia and at 10CCS in the Northern Territory.
