Short description
Cilento had joined the AIF in 1916 while still a medical student. He was attached to Murray Bridge War Service Camp until 1918 when he graduated. He embarked on the SS Melusia in December 1918 with the rank of Captain for Rabaul, New Guinea where he did work on tropical medicine and reported back on his findings.
