Enlisting in June, 1916, and sailing 16th September, was Operating Surgeon, No. 3 Australian General Hospital, Abbassia, from 18th May to 26th August. Also served with No. 2 Australian Auxiliary Hospital, Atelier, to 17th October and with No. 3 Casualty Clearing Station till March, 1917, returning to Australia in July. Minister for Commerce and for Health. Acting Prime Minister of Australia, 1935 and 1937. Founded the  Earle Page Constitutional Prize  in 1936. Early education at Sydney High School.
