M.C., M.B., Ch.M. : Major, A.A.M.C., A.I.F., Egypt and Palestine. Enlisting 22nd August, 1917, and sailing 28th October, after being at Liverpool Camp in charge of isolation, and at Duntroon on Permanent Medical Reference Board, was with 4th A.L.H. Field Ambulance in Beersheba-Jerusalem operations and at a malarial diagnostic school in February, 1918. Served at Jaffa, Second Es Salt, Jordan Valley, Ludd, and the last Offensive as far as Semah and Kuneitra, whence evacuated sick. On 25th December was appointed D.A.D.M.S., Australian Mounted Division, then invalided to Australia 26th May, 1919. Awarded M.C. 1st January, 1919, and Mentioned in Despatches. Parkinson Prizeman. Early education at Parramatta South Public School.
