Arts I : Driver, V.A.D., B.R.C., and 128th London Women's Legion attached Australian Mechanical Transport Section, England; also F.R.C., France. Enlisting in London 15th November, 1915, after sailing privately, served as nurse at Wrest Park Military Hospital, Bedfordshire, until it was burnt down in 1916 and then at Bath War Hospital until illness. Subsequently, qualifying as driver in Women's Legion, was attached to A.M.T. Section at No. 3 Australian Auxiliary Hospital, Dartford, for six months and then to A.I.F. H.Q., London. Crossing to France after the Armistice, was driver in British Committee of French Red Cross for six months, returning to Australia in March, 1920. Early education at Ascham School. Later at the Women's College.
