Univ. H.S.; then private tuition in Arts subjects for Holy Orders; then 1st year Med., as he intended to be a medical missionary.
17.12.15, A Col. rnth rfts. 21st Btn.; sailed 7.3.16; Egypt 11.4.16 - 30.5.16; England June 1916; passed through bombing school at Lyndhurst with distinction (100 per cent.), and appointed Sgt. Instructor; to France 5.11.16, and, after two weeks in hospital, to the trenches.
On 30th December 1916, at Ginchy, Somme area, he was terribly wounded by a German 77, and died in the dressing station ten minutes latter.
