February 1915, Pte. 24th Btn.; sailed, Sgt., May; commissioned in Egypt; Gallipoli August 1915 till evacuation. France March 1916; Capt. April 1917; six months drilling troops in England; senior Capt. of Btn.; buried and dug out twice at Lone Pine, and several times in France.
Killed in action at Montbrehain on 5th October 1918.
