WOOD, GEORGE. 1895.
Ipswich G.S.; Ormond; M.A., with final honours in Classics; College XI.; Resident Master at Scotch College from 1898 onwards, for some years Senior Master in English and History, and in 1912 Senior House Master.
August 1915, Pte. infantry rfts.; after being in camp at Broadmeadows went to O.T.C., Duntroon, and gained commission June 1916; sailed 3.10.16 with 58th Btn.; Lieut. 14.3.17.
On 13th October 1917, at Passchendaele Ridge, he was wounded by shrapnel, and died on 26th October 1917 in the Duchess of Westminster's Hospital. He was buried at Etaples.
