25.9.16; sailed 23.11.16, Lieut. 24th Btn.; joined unit in France 24.4.17.
On 4th Octoher 1917, at Polygon Wood, while waiting in the early morning to go over the top, he was struck on the head by a shell and killed instantaneously.
