Enlisting in April, 1915, and sailing 14th July, was M.O., hospital ship  Karoola  till December and then with 1st Australian Field Ambulance, being R.M.O. 4th Battn. from July, 1916, to September, 1917, when transferred to 9th A.F.Amb. In December, 1917, crossed to No. 3 Australian Auxiliary Hospital, Dartford, and in September, 1918, returned to France, serving at Nos. 3 and 1 Casualty Clearing Stations till December and then till demobilisation. Mentioned in Despatches. Tutor in Medicine. President, Undergraduates' Association. Early education at Sydney Grammar School.
