Caulfield G.S.; Ormond; B.C.E.; one year in Viet. Railways Works and Ways Branch; two years in engineers' department of Parsons Bros. and Co.
August 1914, Pte. "F" Coy. (Public Schools) 5th Btn.; sailed to Egypt with first contingent; trained in Mena Camp and at Lemnos, and went to Gallipoli on 25th April 1915; succeeded in making the landing, and was last seen on shore at about 4 p.m., but was afterwards killed in action on that day.
