B.E.F., and seconded to 13th Middlesex as R.M.O.; to 4th Fld. Amb. A.I.F. May 1917; gassed at Zonnebeke October 1917; invalided to Australia, and in hospital June-October 1918; resumed duty as Medical Registrar No. 11 A.G.H., but on 11.12.18 discharged as medically unfit for active service. M.C. gazetted 5th June 1918.
