M.B., Ch.M., M.R.C.P., F.R.A.C.P. : Lieutenant, 1st Battn., A.I.F., France. Enlisting 8th October, 1915, and sailing 6th January, 1916, fought until wounded at Fleurbaix in May and gassed at Pozieres in July. After attending Officers Training School at Balliol College, Oxford, was commissioned 1st March, 1917, and, returning to battn. fought at Bullecourt in May, where again wounded. From August to December was Brigade Musketry Officer, from September, 1918, to February, 1919, Brigade Intelligence Officer, and served until demobilisation, being attached to Australian Mission to 30th American Division in September and October. Mentioned in Despatches. Tutor in Medicine. Early education at Fort St. High School.
