B.A., Law II : Lieutenant, 33rd Battn. and A.A.M.C., A.I.F., France. Enlisting in A.A.M.C. in May, 1915, and sailing on hospital ship  Karoola  in July, transferred after several voyages to the Infantry. Attending Duntroon, was commissioned and, sailing in January, 1917, crossed to France with reinforcements, joined battn. in October, and served at Passchendaele and Villers-Bretonneux till death. Promoted lieutenant, 23rd June, 1917. Killed in Action, near Villers-Bretonneux, 30th March, 1918. Commemorated in Villers-Bretonneux Memorial. Member of S.U. Scouts. Early education at Gordon Public and Sydney High Schools.  Your son distinguished himself throughout this difficult operation
