B.A. : Private, 1st Battn., A.I.F., France. Enlisting in February, 1916, rose to sergeant, instructing in camp, but reverted to private on sailing, 9th September, and served at the Front from January, 1917, till death. Killed in Action, Bullecourt, 7th May, 1917, and buried in Qu6ant Road Cemetery, Buissy. Early education at Taree Public School. Later at Teachers' College.
