M.B., Ch.M. : Captain, A.A.M.C., A.I.F., France and England. Enlisting in April, 1917, after application in February, and sailing in May, joined No. 3 Australian General Hospital, Abbeville, 24th August, and was seconded to 2nd Advanced Stores, Mautort, till sent to 10th Australian Field Ambulance 8th October. Wounded at Passchendaele on 11th and evacuated to No. 3 London General Hospital, Wandsworth, and Cobham Hall, via No. 2 Australian Casualty Clearing Station and Anglo-American Hospital, Wimereux. Resuming duty in late November at A.I.F. Detention Barracks, Lewes, relieved at Machine Gun Camp, Grantham, and was then attached to H.Q., Tidworth. Returning to France, joined 6th A.F.Amb. in March, 1918, temporarily serving with an anaesthetic team at 22nd C.C.S., with 2nd Divisional Ammunition Column and also 23rd and 22nd Battns.
