Crossing to France, joined 11th A.F.Amb. 27th November, 1917, being R.M.O. 3rd Pioneers from 21st December to 7th January, 1918, and of 43rd Battn. from 22nd April, 1918, to 9th March, 1919, though wounded on the Somme 16th May, 1918, returning for demobilisation. Early education at St. Ignatius' College.
