B.Sc., B.E., A.M.I.E.Aust. : Lieutenant, 1st Pioneer Battn., A.I.F., France. Enlisting in 1916 and sailing with 5th Reinforcements in October, arrived in France in May, 1917, and served with battn. till the Armistice. Detached to assist G.H.Q. Officer with reclamation of German War Material, proceeded to England in the middle of 1919 and, after a period of engineering experience under non-military employment scheme, was demobilised there, returning via America 27th January, 1920. Early education at Cleveland St. Superior Public School and Newington College.
