Arts I : Private, A.A.M.C., A.I.F., France. Enlisting n th February, 1916, and sailing 19th December with 2nd Reinforcements, joined No. 2 Australian General Hospital, Wimereux, and volunteering for stretcher-bearing, served with 3rd Australian Field Ambulance until death. Killed in Action, Menin Road, 20th September, 1917, and buried in Lijssenthoek Military Cemetery, Poperinghe. Early education at Maitland and Chatswood Public Schools. Later at Camden Theological College.
