Overseer of Grounds: Lieutenant, 393rd Siege Battery, R.G.A., B.E.F., England, France and Salonika. Mobilised 25th August, 1914, sailed 15th October and joined R.G.A., Plymouth, 19th December. Crossing to France 28th July, 1915, served till 16th March, 1917, though wounded at Bienvillers in September, 1915, and Brelin in February, 1917. Then attending Officers'' Training School in England from 25th April to 19th August, returned to France 20th November, being evacuated to England on 28th April, 1918, after being gassed at Arras on the 18th. Served in Macedonia from 18th November to 31st December, when invalided to England, returning on demobilisation.
