M.B., Ch.M.; F.R.C.S. (Edin.), F.R.A.C.S. : Captain, A.A.M.C., A.I.F., England and France. Enlisting 2nd November, 1916, and sailing 16th December, was R.M.O. Lark Hill Camp from 17th February, 1917.. to 15th August, then transferring to No. 2 Australian General Hospital, Wimereux. Joining 14th Australian Field Ambulance 28th September, served with it till 15th October, when gassed at "The Tunnel ", Ypres, and evacuated to England. On recovery was M.O. No. 3 A.G.H., Abbeville, from 1st June to 18th July, 1918, when transferred to 2nd A.F.Amb., being R.M.O. 179th Artillery Brigade till the 27th and then was R.M.O. 7th Battn. Rejoining Ambulance 20th August, became R.M.O. 5th Battn. till March, 1919, returning in September, 1920. Early education at Sydney High School.
