M.B., Ch.M., F.R.A.C.P. : Captain, A.A.M.C., A.I.F., France. Enlisting 13th July, 1917, and sailing in August, served with 8th and 14th Australian Field Ambulances and 55th Battn. till the Armistice, although gassed and slightly wounded at Messines Ridge in March, 1918, when with 55th Battn. Demobilised in England but returned in 1923. Early education at Maryborough and Brisbane Grammar Schools.
