M.B., Ch.M., F.R.A.C.S. : Lieutenant, 3rd Battn., Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders, B.E.F., France. Sailing 7th December, 1914, and Enlisting in London in January, 1915, joined 10th Battn., at Bramshott, in March and 3rd at Edinburgh in May. Crossing to France 18th March, 1916, served until wounded at Delville Wood 14th July and evacuated to hospital in London. Rejoining unit in February, 1917, was evacuated again in May, returning, to Australia 29th March, 1918. Early education at The Armidale and Sydney Grammar Schools.
