Enlisting in June, 1916, and sailing in June, 1917, after service in Brisbane Camps, was at Lark Hill and Fovant with 9th Training Battn. from September to January, 1918. Then crossing to France, served with 5th Infantry Brigade until demobilisation. Early education at Cooerwull Academy and Bathurst Superior Public School. Later at St. Andrew''s College.
