B.A., LL.B. : Captain, 19th and 18th Battns., A.I.F., Gallipoli and France. Enlisting in March, 1915, having resigned A.M.F. commission to contest the Senate election, was recommissioned prior to sailing in May. Was promoted lieutenant 1st June and transferred to 18th Battn. at Gallipoli as temporary captain, 27th August. Crossing to France in March, 1916, was promoted captain 27th May and served till death. Killed in Action, near Pozieres, 28th July, 1916. Commemorated in Villers-Bretonneux Memorial. Early education at St. Ignatius' College. Later at St. John''s.
