B.A. : Private, 1st Battn., A.I.F., France. Enlisting 20th September, 1915, and sailing with 2nd Battn. reinforcements, 7th January, 1916, joined 1st Battn. in France, 3rd June, and served with it at Fleurbaix and the Somme till wounded severely at Pozieres, 23rd July, and evacuated to hospital and thence to Australia, arriving 30th August, 1917, and being discharged 4th October. Died of Illness due to War Service, Hazelbrook, lis t August, 1925, and was buried in Rookwood Cemetery. Early education at Bathurst High School (Dux).
