Enlisting in London in August, 1914, served as Consulting Surgeon, Australian Voluntary Hospital, Wimereux. In 1915 was Major, A.A.M.C., in charge of a division at County of London War Hospital and later Consulting Surgeon, Medical Inspection Department, A.I.F. H.Q., London. In 1916 was Surgeon 3rd London General Hospital and R.M.O. Officers' Hospital, Endsleigh Gardens, London. Hon. Consulting Surgeon, Sydney and Royal Alexandra Hospitals. Early education at St. Mark''s Collegiate, Macquarie Fields, and The King's Schools. Later at St. Paul's College.
