M.B., Ch.M. : Major, A.A.M.C., A.I.F., Egypt and Palestine. After being captain in A.A.M.C. from 4th April, 1914, joined A.I.F. 14th October, 1915, and served in Egypt, Sinai and Palestine as R.M.O. 10th A.L.H. Regt. until 12th February, 1917. Was then at No. 2 Australian Stationary Hospital, and lent in March, 1918, to 31st British General Hospital and later Surgeon-Specialist, 88th British General Hospital and No. 2 Prisoner of War Hospital, Heliopolis, returning to Australia as O.C. Surgical Section on hospital ship. Early education at Xavier College. Later at Trinity College, Melbourne, while undergraduate in Medicine.
