M.B., Ch.M. : Doctor, B.R.C. and R.A.M.C., France, England and Egypt. Sailing 26th June, 1915, and Enlisting in England in August, served till March, 1916, with British Red Cross at Anglo-Beige Hospital, Calais. Then was with R.A.M.C. at St. Albans, England, till January, 1917, at Dover Military Hospital till May, 1918, and at Citadel Hospital, Cairo, with Army of Occupation. Recalled to England in July, 1919, and repatriated in October. Early education at Wellesley College.

On 8 August 1928, Dr Ardill Brice was toasted by 2000 men at the returned soldiers' dinner at Town Hall and also received a presentation from them. She shared the honours with Squadron-Leader Kingsford Smith and Flight Lieturenant Ulm. , accessed 22 March 2019.
