Granted Graduate''s Commission 30th January, 1915, and sailing in March, served with Artillery until death. Promoted lieutenant, 23rd July, 1915, captain, 9th October, 1917, major, 5th May, 1918. Awarded M.C. 18th February, 1918, and Mentioned in Despatches twice. Died of Illness, Valenciennes, December, 1918, and was buried in Valenciennes Cemetery. Demonstrator in Engineering : Science Research Scholar. Early education at Sydney High School.
