B.A., Diploma in Military Science : Lieutenant, 1st Battn., Royal Welsh Fusiliers, B.E.F., France. Gazetted second-lieutenant 17th September, 1914, under Imperial Army Regulations for Graduates'' commissions, and sailing for England 23rd January, 1915, served with Depot Battn. at Wrexham until October. Then crossing to France, joined battn. on the Somme and served at Fricourt, Mametz and elsewhere till death. Killed in Action, Bazentin-le-Petit, 14th July, 1916. Commemorated in Thiepval Memorial.
