Although B T Zwar began his medical studies at Adelaide University in 1895, he moved with his brother Hermann, also doing medicine at Adelaide University, to Melbourne University to complete their degrees because of the Adelaide Hospital row going on at that time.
B T Zwar graduated as MB from Melbourne in 1899 , ChB in 1901 and MD in 1902.
