Brighton Coll., Sussex; 3rd year Vet.; first joined Qld. Permanent Artillery as Prov. Lieut. in 1888; Queen Victoria Jubilee Decoration; H.M. Commissioner on Upper Gambia; Queen's and King's Medals Boer War.
16.4.17, Major 4th Btn.; sailed as 2nd in command Ascanius; to 3rd D.A.C. 31.12.17; wounded at Bailleul 1.1.18, invalided to 3rd London G.H., thence to Caulfield Hospital, and there discharged. Promoted Lt.-Col. 13.2.19, and retired with permission to retain this rank.
