16.10.17, 2/Lt. A.F.C.; sailed 26.11.17 in charge of 1st Special Draft A.F.C.; Egypt and England; some time in T.D. Wendover; back to Egypt, but forced to relinquish flying owing to throat injury received while instructing at a Bombing School; to 39th Btn. 22.4.18; to 1st F.C.E., Lieut., 29.5.18. Awarded M.C. for conspicuous service near Chuignes 23.8.18, pushing forward with a section of Engineers under heavy fire, and consolidating the position for the attacking infantry.
Killed in action at Roisel on 11th September 1918. Buried at Tincourt.
