M.B., Ch.M., F.R.A.C.P.: Captain, R.A.M.C., B.E.F., France and England. Enlisting in 1914 and sailing in February, 1915, was gazetted 9th March and served as R.M.O. 2nd Royal Berks, Surgeon, No. 10 General Hospital, Rouen, and Superintendent, Castlemount Hospital, Dover, being wounded in November, 1915, and returning to Australia in June, 1917. Promoted captain, 9th March, 1916. Early education at Brisbane Grammar School. Later at St. Andrew's College.
