B.A. : Captain, 36th and 52nd Battns., A.I.F., France. Enlisting in August, 1915, and sailing 24th May, 1916, as lieutenant 36th Battn., transferred to 52nd on 30th October and served in the Somme area until severely wounded at Flers in February, 1917, and evacuated to hospitals in England and to Australia, arriving 14th February, 1918. Promoted captain, 20th July, 1917. Early education at Public Schools. Later at Fort St. Training College.
