Pharmacy : Staff-Sergeant, A.A.M.C., A.I.F., Egypt, England and France. Enlisting 19th April, 1915, and sailing 18th May, joined No. 1 Australian General Hospital, Heliopolis, and later served with Nos. 1, 2 and 3 Australian Auxiliary Hospitals in Egypt and then from July, 1916, with No. 3 A.G.H. at Abbassia, Brighton and Abbeville until invalided to Australia via Weymouth, arriving 1st August, 1918. Early education at Tinonee and Taree Public Schools.
