LL.B. : Lieutenant, 54th and 56th Battns., A.I.F., Gallipoli and France. Enlisting 28th August, 1914, and sailing 18th October with 2nd Battn., fought at Gallipoli from the Landing to the Evacuation. Transferring to 54th Battn. 14th February, 1916, and crossing to France, served until return to Australia in June, 1918. Re-embarking 30th July, joined 56th Battn. 2nd December and remained with it until demobilisation. Early education at St. Patrick's College, Goulburn.
