M.B., Ch.M. : Sergeant, 25th Battn., A.I.F., France. Enlisting 4th January, 1916, and sailing 7th September, served at Somme, Bullecourt and Ypres till gassed near Zonnebeke 30th November, 1917. From June, 1918, was attached as Divisional Intelligence Officer on German Interrogation Work, mainly with Brigade H.Q. till after the Armistice, then returning for demobilisation. Early education at Brisbane Grammar School. Later at the University of Queensland.
