B.A., LL.B. : Captain, 13th Regt., Hussars, Ireland, Mesopotamia and India. Sailing privately 1st April, 1916, and enlisting in London in June, served with 1st King Edward''s Horse in Ireland. Commissioned to 3rd Reserve Regiment, Hussars, 29th June, 1917, was posted to 13th Regt., serving in Mesopotamia and India till demobilisation, then returning to Australia. Promoted lieutenant, 29th December, 1918. Early education at Marist Brothers'' High School, Darlinghurst.
