M.C., M.B., Ch.M. : Captain, R.A.M.C., B.E.F., England and France. Enlisting in February, 1915, and sailing 21st March, was gazetted lieutenant and posted to Training Centre, Crookham, Surrey, 10th May. On 14th June appointed R.M.O. 123rd Artillery Brigade and, crossing to France 28th July, served until 22nd March, 1919. Then was at Repatriation Camp, Winchester, until 30th June. Promoted captain, 23rd March, 1916. Awarded M.C. 3rd June, 1919, and Mentioned in Despatches. Early education at Sydney Grammar School.
