M.B., Ch.M., F.R.C.S., F.R.C.S. (Edin.), F.R.A.C.S., L.R.C.P. : Lieutenant, A.A.S.C. (Mechanical Transport), A.I.F., France. Enlisting n th October, 1915, and sailing 14th April, 1916, served as despatch rider and transport sergeant in 1st Divisional Sub-Park and 1st Anzac Corps Ammunition Park. Was commissioned and transferred to 12th Field Artillery Brigade, Park Section, in September, 1917, and thence to 3rd M.T. Coy. 24th December and to 1st M.T. Coy. 7th October, 1918, serving until demobilisation. Promoted lieutenant, 12th January, 1918. Early education at Sydney Church of England Grammar School.
