In January, 1916, was sent as nurse to Dr. Haden Guest's Anglo-French Hospital, Nevers, and in September joined the Queen of the Belgians' Hospital, La Panne, returning to England for family reasons in April, 1917. Then till the end of 1918 worked with Australian Red Cross, London, returning to Australia in January, 1919. General Service Medals and Red Cross Member's Badge for five years' service.
