Mr. Joske's book is a pleasantly written description of an amateur gipsy
experiment in the art of living, which led the author and his companions to explore the northern rivers of New South Wales and the country in the neighbour hood of the Cape York Peninsula. At the same time, one is forced to the conclusion that the jungle of the tropical rain-belt is a veritable "terra infelix" for all those who are not prepared to face with dauntless resolution the manifold inconveniences and deprivations of such an infelicitous terrene. The book is illustrated with photographs.
