Corps; sailed 21.11.17; England 24.1.18; tied for first place in Officers' School examinations; operated on for acute appendicitis 19.4.18; left for France July 1918 and joined 21st Btn. On 1st September 1918 he was killed instantly by a shell in an attack on Mont St. Quentin.
