Then served with No. 12 Group from 30th August, in charge of Mobilisation Squadron, Mousehole, Norwich, 12th October, and at No. 3 Aircraft Acceptance Park from 27th December until demobilisation, then returning to Australia. Promoted temp, captain and flight commander, 24th March, 1918. Awarded Croix de Guerre (avec palme) 21st September, 1918.
